Izzy: Ambassador of Joy (8 minutes)

It's a tough life, being a pro trail runner… eat, sleep, run, repeat

It’s easy to lose yourself among the miles, the splits, endless training cycles. In this short film, Run the Alps Ambassador and pro athlete, Isabelle “Izzy” Mayer tells us about how she keeps her trail psych alive. She shares her love for the running community in her home town of Chamonix, France and why trail running is still and always will be, where she finds her joy

Directed and produced by Kate Owen.

The Reality of Trail Running (3 minutes)

When I finish a long trail run I'm always shocked about the difference between my elapsed time vs my moving time and always wonder what I spent that extra time doing. I use to think it was wasted time and now I know it's also part of the adventure. This film is a portrait of a real day out, not just that memorable, perfect singletrack on the ridge that we all love

When I’m working, I'm constantly framing images and noticing the infinite sounds around. This project brings to light what I'm seeing and hearing. I hope it works as a reminder to get out regardless of the conditions or your fitness and enjoy roaming around in the outdoors

    A film by Milo Zanecchia
